The Commission of Audit report has clearly demonstrated that fundamentally things have to change in Australia or ultimately we will finish up like the European basket cases or even worse.
If this does happen, there will be many on here, me included that won't be around because of our age.
I don't like many of the recommendations in the COA as they will affect me in some way or another and my wife and I have done the hard yards (and we aren't orphans in this regard)so that we can live comfortably in our retirement.
We are in a position where if we wanted we could relocate and not have to suffer many of the consequences of any changes that may happen. Living in Asia for parts of the year has certain attractions. However Australia is our home and we are not going anywhere long term.
Collectively we vote to put Governments in place to make decisions that will be good for ALL Australian's and our futures.
Given the postings of some on here over the time that the COA has been about the future doesn't look too good for our offspring.
There are far too many selfish, self serving Australian's.
