It's difficult to say what the chances of getting Nifty going again are - will depend a lot on the water levels more than anything else. I've worked at a mine where a crown pillar collapsed and the operation was back up and running within 48 hours, but the aquifer involvement here complicates things quite a bit - an inrush event will be on everyone's minds. If they have some old (deep) workings that they can send the aquifer water to in a controlled way then they may be alright.
