BMB biggest weakness may be the mineable reserve is not large enough. At 4 tonne pa that a mine life of only around 12 years.
Also I reckon mining an old mine with shafts and corridors all over the place must be an engineering nightmare. Is a clean underground slate not easy? Maybe yes, maybe not. Are ventilation shafts etc expensive to create?
It will be fascinating to know the various seniarios and capex.
PDZ should be on a winner, but with a capex of $700 m plus, maybe they will be looking for a nearby local cornerstone investor / user.
Such an entity will also be a coal buyer to BMB.
I did hear Polands domestic consumption of coal was around 40 million, so the two companies should not be at each others throats like in some other companies find themselves in.
Is Togo project a far better than NR?
