I have done a fair bit of travel in country WA, when out on more isolated country dirt roads you would always wave to cars you pass. Few and far between they were but their was a sense if you got into trouble they would stop to help.

With big distance between places on the Brand and Northwest Coastal Hwy I have on a number of occasions stopped to check on people that have broken down.

One occasion Northwest Coastal Hwy I stop to check on a broken down vehicle and it was a woman with two kids, she thanked me for stopping and I was surprised when she said I was the first to do so after one person did so when she first broke down. That person had headed in the other direction and was to send help from the next road house about 200km away. With that I checked she had water, she had a bit but as it was hot as hell and not know how long she would have to wait I gave her 10 lt and advised her to flag cars down if necessary.

Another occasion stopped for a broken down car, turn out he blew a transmission oil line. I just happen to have some pressure hose, hose clamps and tools to fix it up enough for him to get to the next road house.

Is their such thing as Kama? Well heading up the Brand HWY on time my radiator blows, pulled over and knowing I was 15km from Badjingarra I thought I would walk of hitch a ride. First car I tried to fag down keeps going then a minute latter see they have come back for me.
