Zonetrader, I don't doubt that there would be a minority that lie about their voting intentions.
If that is the case, given that the figures roughly match voting intentions in opinion polls, there probably is an equal number of respondents on either side of politics lying.
Or, more non-Coalition voters lie to get on the program. That's seems very unlikely, as given the vitriol from the right about the ABC's so-called "bias", they would be just as prepared to lie to be able to make their case. And in any case it's out of the ABC's control.
Or, the ABC is fudging the figures. Sorry, I can't accept that. There would be nothing to gain, and the risk of getting caught and the ramifications would be just not worth it.
And I for one can remember plenty of applause for centre or right wing views.
Finally, Pyne is one of the most disliked and controversial politicians, and is IMO an unfortunate choice for Education minister, and the ABC should have been a bit more stringent with their checks given that he was on the program.
