Yep I wave to cars going by, some give a finger up from steering wheel (lazy) and some a full on hand wave.

Smile it does help.

A while ago I posted about people in the local small shop. Lots of busy people and I turned and ask what is gong on and got blank stares or heads turning away.

So In a loudish voice I said:

"Country people ask questions and are not trying to take something from you. So do not worry and have a fun day"


I let them be served and when they left about 10 of them the girl behind the counter said, glad you came as they were pretty impatient and getting a bit rude. I laughed and said they are used to multiple checkouts :-)
