The biggest "woes" facing Australia, is the ageing population.
People are living longer. That's a good thing, but it must also be matched by the individuals ability to finance his/her own retirement.
Gone are the days where people can just spend their income, and expect to live their retirement years funded by the taxpayers (or what is left of them)
It's just the reality. Everyone should realise it.
