Rembrant, I can't recall the antics of Crashy. Probably they happened in his own channel. #HC was the first name used for a few months. It was supposed to be spurned out of http://hotcopper.com.au. "This Channel, is sprouted from the Share Trading Homepage Http://www.hotcopper.com.au."
Then a lady appeared whom Salty74 referred as the one who liked to use a whip. I think her main nic was Robyn although her first nics were of some feline variety. She changed her nic a few times. She told me she operated a bathhouse for Japanese tourists in Melbourne and she was the one who set up the website for HC. She was a HC webmaster for a while. My nic was ling then gnil. Other regulars are youzhen(PH D student in UNSW), nick/niksta (from perth), semi/solo(a broker who turned a spi trader), iggy(a broker), snuggles, empathy, oily (Grant Dinse), elbarto (from perth), johnnie. When Robyn first appeared, she didn't speak at all for a few days. We all thought she was an ASIC spy. Also iggy was another suspicous lurker but he turned out to be a helpful person. elbarto, youz, ling, nick have "god" privileges. When Robyn was on, elbarto when after his school hours or on holidays (he was a school boy then) tried to hit on Robyn with sexy chattings which swarmed the channel. So, we created a new parallel one called #daytraders which also have other names like #traders, etc. During those days, I think elbarto home was raided by police for suspicion of insider trading or ramping. Another guy who always started off with his web posts "tora, tora, tora" had his home raided and prosecuted in court for ramping. One day Johnnie said something which was seemed to be ramping. He didn't know the "tora" case so we advised to engage a lawyer which he did. There was a broker from Sunshine Coast who liked to boast what sports car he drove. He only appeared during lunch time. One day he said he knew a company in WA who would report to ASX next day nickel samples in "massive sulphides" and he was going to put all his money + borrowed money on this company and how much money he would make. I don't think he knew the meaning of "massive sulphides" so when I scanned back the logs, I tried to tell him but he didn't appeared that afternoon. Anyway, the company reported dismal exploration results and he never appeared again.

I still remember so many things about the early days of HC.
May be one day I will write a book with an appendix on how to trade "one hundred battles, one hundred wins".
