The cost of living side of the equation is the one that needs to be tackled.
Why are we being ripped off for nearly everything.
State governments with their two houses and associated civil servants are bleeding us dry.

I will give an example. Why does an Australian passport renewal cost $244 whereas a UK renewal only cost around $140?

Why does a professional body registration in Austrralia cost $2000 and the same UK registration cost $350.

Why is state electricity and water charges going up way faster than CPI? Because the cretins in charge are running up too much state debt?

Why has my house doubled in price in 10 years but my income has stayed pretty much the same?

Why can I order a product from Italy for half the price it costs in WA and get it in half the time?

Why does a "luxury car" in Australia, a vehicle that the UK police or a german taxi driver would drive, cost twice as much in Australia compared to the UK?

We pay $%^& all GST yet the cost of living AND level of service is crap.

Australia has too many people on welfare, too many people in the civil service and politics and a tax system that penalizes personal effort yet encourages speculation in assets. I acknowledge we are a big country with not many people but is this really the reason for the current state of affairs.
