Interesting read about the lama TB, however the header that he is 'alive' is false.
Similarly preserved bodies have also been reported in monasteries in Tibet.
My thoughts are along the lines of 'pure is as pure does'. A cold, dry climate would also help in the preservation.
Saints and the like are not their bodies. None of us are. The body is analogous to a car...it gets us around, but without the driver, the car serves no purpose. The driver is the real person and this is what is fired in the crucible of life. From lifetime to lifetime, until there is no more reason for us to return here.
We evolve.
