Lasting peace can only be achieved when religion ceases to exist and that misguided faith is redirected to humanity. Only then will ancient myths and gods not be used to separate us from each other, pointless fighting/wars over whose god has the bigger balls (etc) We will realize we are all connected and if any notion of a higher spirit has to exist it will be in the form of love,compassion, grace etc. You know,all the things that religious fables teach but followers somehow forget or choose to ignore.
Crazy stuff right? I guess not nearly as egocentric in believing your one of 'gods' chosen.
