That's the true shame of it as only by understanding God can we actually have understanding, insight and wisdom.
Job 37
23 Understanding the Almighty is beyond our reach; He is great in power, And he never violates his justice and abundant righteousness.
24 Therefore, people should fear him. For he does not favor any who think that they are wise.”
Fear of God brings understanding as we can not apply human reasoning to the things of God. Only a deep reverential fear of displeasing God can lead to accurate knowledge of God so that the things that easily snare & entrap us can be done away with.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has even put eternity in their heart; yet mankind will never find out the work that the true God has made from start to finish.
Yet the deep things of God will always be out of our reach as we could never comprehend the magnitude of his works, thus placing a human viewpoint onto the things of God is mere folly.
