Investors in Mantle Mining are largely waiting on news/developments in the company's biggest asset: brown coal.

Now five months since Exergen was notified it did not recieve ALDP funding yet still we wait on the announcement of ALDP winners and the start of all things the Brown Coal Pilbara.

A few months ago posters were assuming that the Coalition Federal government would have to wait until the new senate sat in July to repeal the carbon tax and install the Direct Action policy and Emissions Reduction Fund.

Now we know that the ERF is included in today's budget, so will this be the trigger for greenlighting the BCP?

Did the state and fed government want the certainty that the ERF money will be available before committing themselves boots and all to the BCP?

We wait and see.
