time frames and strategies

I have traded shares for 10yrs using technical analysis and feel very comfortable in doing so, but with changed work conditions I now have more time to watch the market and have been dabbling in trading CFDs.

However, I am struggling to get the timing right and wonder what others do. With intra-day charting available, do people look at the screen in anything from 10min to 1hr blocks, or do you just treat a CFD similarly as trading a regular share (perhaps checking it on a daily basis)?

With the potential losses always in the back of my mind, watching the screen during the day is quite unnerving, especially when I might just happen to look at it when the price has hit the bottom of a candlestick tail (for a long trade).

    Any advice?
