If you purchased a business that paid for itself in approx. 2 years NET, after expenses, that would be a pretty cheap multiple, and then you get the trailing income for another decade or so.

I don't use 20yrs, as its less economic to run them without more stimulation as boepd trickles down to minimums.

But this is why good tight oil plays/ shales with horis are worthwhile, gross payback in a year or less is considered very good.

Another rough number, but approx. AKK will get around $10m revenue per well in EFS over 10-12 years.
