Hi dscott54321 there are many ways to play the market.I basically relie heavily on dollar fundamental research.I would view a share buy and sell as buying into a business.My basis relies on value for buying cheap assets and/or profit.No pie in the sky stuff.Patience is needed.Don't use the stop loss and would only sell if the companies circumstances have changed.I hold shares that fluctuate down sometimes by say 20-30% but if I know the value don't panic.More or less the value will be seen in 3-12 months.
