    Interesting the subject of australia's ability to value add,i was surprised to hear it costs approx $6 to $7 a gigajoule to convert gas to lng in australia,that's a lot considering export price approx $14 per gigajoule.
    I don't know what it costs other countries but i'm guessing a lot less than what it costs us.
    Maybe we should regard the high wages ,bureaucratic red tape eg public servants required to roll out red tape etc etc as our form of value adding in the resource sector,because we certainly can't compete if we try and value add to IO,gas etc through manufacturing etc.
