I just found out an old mate now lives in Santiago. I've sent him a note asking whether it's possible to verify that Route 5 is under maintenance near Putú and, if so, how long it's supposed to last.
It just seems odd that the country's main highway has been unusable for the transportation of goods for 6 months now.
