interesting cartoon you posted. Regarding the sampling of the three new tenements in the announcement earlier this week, I'm not sure that one can do work in the area officially let alone announce the results of such work because if I am not mistaken, the ground is still under application. The NT Mines Department, or whoever administers mining and exploration tenements these days, have not granted these tenements to TORO. Its a bit like ABM having had to wait for the ML before they could commence full scale mining on OP. Also, I don't think that other than brief in-house exploratory sampling the company would not spend serious exploration funds from their budget on tenements in the application stage. The anomalism reported on Vampire, Port Starboard and other prospects are from results by previous workers in the region and from Mines Department records.I might be completely wrong and I stand corrected, but that was the procedure in my exploration roaming days.

On the geology side, its too early to define models and prospects from the available maps and cartoons we have seen. However, going from the known to the proximal unknown, there are some hints that the plunging anticlinal structures at OP may repeat to the east and northeast of OP. If they comprise the same type of sedimentation as that in OP (i.e. interbedded sandstone and shale beds) and have been intruded by gold bearing quartz to form veining and stockworks, then yes, they could discover orebodies the likes of Golden Hind and OP. Buccaneer is a porphyry and therefore a different kettle of fish. It may nevertheless prove to be the source of this shooting match and we are only seeing one small section of it.At least that is how I see the models in this part of the Tanami from the very little geological data I have seen. There is an immense amount of work to do in the area and the more ground procured and explored the clearer will be the overall picture. I must concede therefore that the process of acquiring TORO's ground was a good move by ABM for the long term.
