The Marianas project is a historical copper mine, the tailing are an environmental issue for chile, processing the tailing would benefit chile so the permits would not be a problem, this information has been explained pretty well in cdb reports. Permitting does not worry me the slightest matter! I'm hoping the funding pulls through and for all our sakes, cdb is in the process as we speak, in making sure the funding is completed so I'm more on the positive side , and for those complaints about cash costs for the Mariana's mine, due to the nature of the tailings cdb is not able to provide a JORC and only an estimate, asx won't allow them to release estimates with out a JORC, this does not mean they don't know they will be making a profit, do you really think management have gone to the bank with out proving they can repay the debt???? These things are pretty straight forward.

The JORC Code is cited by the ‘Code and Guidelines for Technical Assessment and/or Valuation of Mineral and Petroleum Assets and Mineral and Petroleum Securities for Independent Expert Reports’ (the ‘VALMIN Code’) as the applicable standard for the Public Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves. References to ‘technical and economic studies’ and ‘feasibility studies’ in the JORC Code are not intended as references to Technical Assessments or Valuations as defined in the VALMIN Code.

The marianas must be very low cost and it must be for them to be able to present it to the bank, other wise it would have been rejected by now., again cdb has stated this in many reports that the marianas is a low cost and easy to produce mine but don't you get it they are not allowed to say more than that .
