But I will say this Israeli politics - within a democracy - represents a broad range of views that tend to reflect different political, religious and secular views.
But - perhaps more so than anywhere else on the planet - the decisions reached and the fervour used to reach those decisions are done with the belief - yes the BELIEF - that their very lives, their very EXISTENCE - is at stake.
Those who dont live there or under similar pressures - simply CANT comprehend.
Compare that to some of the political debates in OZ - you know - is breast-feeding the done thing in a state parlaiment.
Trivilalising to be sure but you get my drift???
Cant you imagine the political process in Oz if everyday, a Bali-type event, or worse, either occurs or is about to occur????
