I'm a bit surprised but I think he did pretty well . He was able to answer the questions and even admitted that the fuel excise increase effectively is a tax hike . I'm seeing a bit of honesty appearing . The fact that labor appears to have left us with some unfunded liabilities ($80 bill ) is pretty ordinary . I guess we will have to wait 3 years for the proof for the libs .
While I genuinely feel sorry for some of those people such as the guy with multiple medical problems and the pensioners , I think that some people were a bit self focused and missing the point . After all , the budget is for the benefit of Australia which ultimately is good for everybody .
The young tradie and the young student at the end . Unfortunately , future generations are going to have to support themselves whether they like it or not . That's the reality of the situation . At least they have time on their side and the ability to plan it out .
