Morn all , Hi Alpha what future and or synthetic traders do is quite the opposite to what u do mate as Fut's all have an expiry period , generally 3 months .
So it's very VERY important to understand and be in harmony with a market . Logic would say that no one and that means NO ONE really knows where a top or a bottom is but one does develop a preety good feel over time .
For others who don't understand the above statement then consider little Johny who just went long 5 spi contracts at the last exhaustion high and the market retreats 100 points ,like it did , then poor little Johny is down 12500 bucks over a week . The future's broker gives him a call and says we want more margin as He has only limited funds in the bank etc . Poor little Johny don't have any more margin so he closes out with a 12,500 loss and then the market goes back to the top and now poor little Johny feels doubley bad .
If JC called the last 3 odd tops correct , which He did , then Christianp retains bragging rights on calling the last low correct and I retain rights over the March to May then the June to July lows and even the Oct to Nov lows using % was dam close [missed by 9 points .lol
Each to there own is the moral of the story and never discount someone elses logic .
