To put a possible positive spin on the Edwards disposal, if the disposal date of 19 May (yesterday) is accurate, if the 500k were sold on market somewhere in the range 7.4 - 7.9c, then the 1,000k sold off market were sold in the low 8c range, ie above the market price on the day.
My experience is that off market transfers usually happen because the buyer and seller are related, acquainted or at least known to each other, where the cash may not necessarily be available for immediate settlement.
Is he the sort of person who would sell to such a person if had any expectation that they would lose on the deal. I'd prefer to believe he is looking after someone.
And I also believe that there maybe a reason for the company to want to see the share price stable at around these levels in the short term.
