    I've done some calculations based on that hydrogen number; seems pretty dodgy to me, but feel free to point out where my sums are wrong.

    1 Mcf = 1000 cubic feet.
    1000 cubic feet = 26.3 cubic meters
    26.3 cubic meters = 4.383 cylinders
    1 cylinder = $50 => 4.4 cyclinders = $220 (from the local Air Liquide dealer for industrial grade hydrogen - price effective 1 Jan 2014).

    That seems to be for industrial grade (high purity is about 3 times that, and UHP even more*); the production cost generally that I can find on the web is about $10/kilogram or less, which gives an even less impressive $24 per 1 Mcf.

    ~423 scf of hydrogen = 1 kilogram.
    => 1 Mcf = ~2.36 kilograms.
    So 2.36 kilograms at $10/kilogram = ~$24, which is 6 times the price of gas.

    The helium price also seems high.

    *I suspect it would take a lot of the extra value of the helium/hydrogen to process it to the kinds of grades for which their prices are referring - for the sake of my investment I hope their maths is right and mine is wrong. DYOR (and sums).

    Also the failure to disclose the low flow rates when people were obviously trading on the information is pretty annoying, but sadly not surprising.
