Buddha taught properly, with all correctness, How do you know this?

how? because when the heart is awake to love, it does not 'hate'. you know in your mind & heart

earlier I read a parable you posted of a student saying to Buddha he was the greatest and he got told off (with affection no doubt)

correct. but he was not told off, with anger or hate. he was just spoke to with calm reason

Nouns verbs I dont know what they all mean. It seems to me sin can have dire consequences, here on earth, now or long term. I sleep with the neighbours wife there can be all sorts of consequences, I get drunk and drive home may be an accident. I get greedy borrow a fortune and lose it on the ASX etc... Sin is fairly regularly punished. Sinners are punished. Its not about some hypothetical God giving us unconditional love, sin is a bad idea.

Buddha taught the path has 3 steps:

    1. avoid sin (harm, evil)

    2. do good

    3. purify the mind

therefore, yes. to stop sinning is very wise because real sin brings real suffering & real trouble

    regards
