People have to remember they voted for Abbott because there was no alternative.
Abbott is a fool for taking this job on, should have just walked away. He is on a hiding to nothing.
I will give them one thing though, Labour are masters at opposing anything... ie they Make a very good "opposition", and maybe that is where they should stay.
