The Hockey family were economic refugees as was my family , had nothing worked hard and made their own luck and wealth. Scrimped and saved and self sacrificed ,Joe knows what it's like . There were no handouts. The folk of this day and age cannot relate to that. ,as most of us cannot relate to the world wars eras.
The trouble with Joe is he is self reliant, he had economic pain , he can't understand why people can't accept a comparative morsel of cuts. There is nothing wrong or criminal in being poor but some folk try to make it a virtue.
Even though he cannot understand the handout mentality I think he is a compassionate man , he does not want us Australians going backwards towards what he and I and many others endured .
I have seen all the graphs and heard all views and opinions , labor did squander money ,yep we went from surplus to deficit , we are not in real trouble but we are on the cusp ,we spent more than we earned , I want to get off the roller coaster .you have a choice you can change the squealing brake pads on you car , whinge about the cost ,or wait until you have an accident.
Abbott may have some power reduced but I feel empathy for Shorten because he has no authority , he is manipulated by the unions , he recently was quashed at the latest comradefest He can only whinge and whine , he knows he is shackled , he is trapped.

I care not for either man ,I can see Hockeys points but I may not agree with him on certain issues nor condone them ! He had a plastic spoon not a silver one ,,,,,!,,,,,,!!
