    madamswr:

You indignantly just ask more questions instead of following clear pointers and pretend I made it difficult for you. It's like you come to HC to do your research for you.

let me spell it out in ABCs then.

I suggest you look into the mesoblast.com website and read what it says to investors.

Like I said, you need to try to understand the science. I don't think I or anyone else here should have to spoon feed you, as you seem to expect.

But here goes, a cut&paste from the website, as it seems you don't know how to do this:

Mesoblast’s cell-based core technologies include its highly purified, immunoselected Mesenchymal Precursor Cells (MPCs), culture-expanded Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs), Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSCs), and expanded Hematopoietic Stem Cells (HSCs). Mesoblast’s protein technologies are based on factors derived from its proprietary cellular platforms, including Stromal Derived Factor-1 (SDF-1).

MPCs are rare cells found around blood vessels in various tissues and are characterized by specific surface markers, the expression of which facilitates their isolation and purification by immunoselection. MPCs give rise to and are the precursors of all culture-expanded multi-potential fibroblastoid colony forming units (CFU-F), which typically characterize all in vitro cultured MSCs derived from adult tissues.

Highly purified, immunoselected MPCs and the cultured MSCs give rise to share very important technical characteristics – both populations can be expanded in large numbers in culture, are well tolerated when used allogeneically in unrelated recipients, and can differentiate to greater or lesser degrees into bone, fat and cartilage.

In addition, these cell types release a series of factors which can act on target tissues to induce blood vessel formation, prevent heart muscle death, reduce fibrous scar tissue, improve bone and cartilage growth, and modulate the key elements of the immune system, including monocytes and T cells.

    >>>

    those 'very important characteristics'?

the products are effective, and can be produced on an industrial scale, and are not likely to be rejected by the immune system, (or "well tolerated") because the dna has been purified, or stripped back.

How much clearer could this be?

I'm frankly amazed you think this is so hard. When I got onto MSB years ago it was a case of join the dots. Now the website is very clear, but you seem resistant to reading it and digesting the information.

Autologous stem cell developments do not have these advantages.

MSB has a range of patents to protect the unique technology.

I find your attitude frankly a bit unreal, but no more unreal than that of some very snippy traders in here with next to no understanding or respect for the science, or what the deal with Teva means, or what progress has been made, yet have very self-regarding views.

That kind of wilful persistent ignorance gets my ire. Sure it does.
