Dopey, I have spent time this afternoon reading comments and discussion on the budget.
It offers little interest really.
But the points I made in the last two posts (and I have no idea where you got the idea I referred to interest or budget crisis. It had to be someone else).
As I see it we are in a superannuation mess created by previous governments meddling in superannuation rules, allowing pension misuse and not implementing full guidance for future government pension funding.
Tinkering around the edges with compulsory super and lifting the pension age to 67 are not strategic planning.
Full structural changes to our whole retirement industry are needed, and quickly.
How can Australia afford an aging population? There are quite a number of ways. But first make our country aware of our problem.
