I once thought the electorate was wising up. After the Whitlam years hollow promises were greeted with the question: Where's the money? That was good and healthy. It seems 55% of the electorate really does believe in santa now.
How could they possibly be contemplating a return to labor with the memory of their last stint so fresh in the collective memory?
Forgive them for they know what what they do.
