I agree with some of what you say in as much as so many do not appreciate that they have it so good
But that still does not mean that it is a good budget
We have a big debt BUT Abbott is going to spend the same amount of money that the Labor crowd spent to get us into this debt
So the augment and discussion should be about the design of the whole budget not about some perceived losses by a few
Lets have a discussion on why we are spending soooo much money, when prior to the election the Liberals were all over the massive debt that Labor rung up
As a retired couple we will not be affected to any marked degree and as you say we have seen it worse but what of the overall effect that the budget will have what of the future, as I read it there will be very little improvement to be achieved until the next crisis hits us which will probably be a China meltdown.
We need some forward planning which from my memory, stopped when the Snowy was built
