There is a lot of common sense in what you have posted.
It seems very difficult to find a way to deal with what seems to be a completely inflexible situation.
However, one point I noticed in the last few days that might be of interest to you, is that a re-work of the future demographic projections that was given as one of the reasons for the for the Gaza disengagement, has been reworked and found to be based on some faulty assumptions.
Particularly that Palestinean population and pop growth have been over-inflated by the PA (in order to get higher payments from EU and US I guess) and the actual birth rates are quite a bit lower in Palestinean families than in Israeli families.
