It IS karmaswimswami (Dr KSS) and he has every right to be critical. The missed timeframes are an absolute joke.

He has NOT sold as yet, but is advising anyone who reads his posts to ignore his previous 'buy' recommendation and possibly consider selling due to management failures. Fair enough I say. When dosing is held up for months, everyone wonders why, and the same old excuses wear thin.

He doesn't have all the facts and, in the absence of proper updates from Benitec, can only speculate as the rest of us here do. Peter French has replied to one of the posters who posts on Stock Gumshoe to address some of the misconceptions regarding them having 'control' over who gets dosed or not. They don't, but why not inform the market about incorrect rumours that are circulating rather than shareholders having to rely on stockmarket forums that may have incorrect information. Still, you have to wonder why there has still been no dosing of those who have apparently passed all the hurdles and are currently undergoing monitoring of their bloodwork. How long does it take? How can Benitec get it so wrong all the time. They need someone with much more experience dealing with a public company than Peter French. He might be a good scientist, but he is a very poor communicator where shareholders are concerned. If there has been no dosing within a couple of weeks, I too will be very, very concerned.

BLT management have stuffed up on more occasions than I care to remember. If they had done what they said they would do, TT-034 would have been the drug being approved, not Sofosbuvir.

By the way, I am not at all concerned about BLT's core patents anymore. They are worthless, as are ISIS' and Alnylams as they run out out even sooner. As it takes an average of 10 years to get from discovery to commercialisation, why would anyone bother taking a licence anymore? The fact that BLT are even wasting time, money and energy defending the core Graham patent is just ridiculous. The only thing more ridiculous is that they bothered taking a worthless licence from some company that just challenged their worthless patent.

I think I'll become a patent attorney. Stacks more money to be made there than investing in biotech.

The only patents that matter now are the ones for the individual drugs. Thankfully, biologics are incredibly difficult for anyone to copy without jumping through a lot of hoops.
