God has my trust, there is plenty of probably honest reporting in the Bible there is also a lot of improbable or difficult to accept detail. Another thing is sometime something can be true but it is misleading. The Bible is extensive and much of it is open to interpretation. I think it is a mistake to rely on the Bible as the only source of knowledge on God. The critical thing is a persons heart and spirit. The righteous will understand what God requires, what the Bible is teaching and give them the wisdom they need.
