Cheers for your reasoning regarding Mt Kitty being the chosen target. I did notice that off structure wells were a repeated issue in some of the reports I have read through.
Well done on laying the 2D seismic over the map, I should have thought of doing that. Some of the structures do indeed make Mt Kitty look like a Kitten.
Without searching too hard, it would seem that most fields that hold Helium never have more than 2%! The highest is 7% in a small field in the U.S. Helium is without doubt a strategic resource. Production is concentrated in the U.S.
(As you say Doom, 6-9% in the Amadeus basin is incredible, all the more so because of all the other possible structures nearby with excellent salt caps).
From what I can gather, there is or will be a shortage of Helium.
Doom - I totally agree about the crazy numbers that might be sitting on a Santos desk.
So if I may, I will pose some questions:
Why has no-one publicly (news, brokers etc) not come to the same conclusions regarding how important the Mt Kitty results have been (even though inconclusive in regards to their exact values)?
Why are CTP management not shouting from the rooftops..? (although I will admit the recent presentation did have quite a bit of info on Helium). So perhaps they are scrambling to get a better idea of what they really might have.
Lastly, I am sure that RC would not want CTP take out before the J/V both start really undertaking their work programs. Totals work alone could propel CTP to dizying hight's. So how will RC try to stop or stall a possible T/O at what we all know is an undervalued price just on the acreage valuations...?
