I am always amazed at the stuff you come up with to discredit anything to do with the Bible. You need to read the "Bible" and not "Copy & Paste" so called interpretation from someone else as being fact.
Many so called Gurus have made interpretations about the Two Witnesses in Chapter 11 of Revelations and just about everything else. Interestingly, they were God appointed and for a reason. They were not put there as punishment nor failing to fullfill a covenant from the Torah. Jesus Christ fullfilled the old law by dieing on the cross.
As for "Pride or being Proud of your country". I love my country and its God given heritage. We are blessed and should be thankful. Our country is what it is today through alot of toil, our heritage of "having a go" and not being afraid of who we are.
Often we have been seen as Underdogs and we love that. Just look at how Australia made it into the World Cup. The most amazing sense of pride that I can remember was when we beat the US and won the "Americas Cup". I suppose it does make me proud to be an Australian. Yet the Pride you mention is not the same.
We are unique in that we don't need to shout it from the rooftops who we are. Part of the Australian culture has been known for people who go about their business without to much fanfare.
The deadly sin of Pride you are talking about is putting yourself above others. Its the opposite to humility.
