I talked to Luke too (he rang back). When asked about a deterioration of grades, he asked where. Having no clue, I answered underground mines. He said he thought they had not mentioned grades in the last announcement but assured me they were on track as far as guidance was concerned.
When asked if a major SH is getting out, he said that they (major SH's) all nowadays have their holding in holding companies making it difficult for them to know what is going on.
When questioned he said they had no plans to reassure SH's via an announcement as they think there is nothing material to announce.
He said I was only the second SH he talked to, which surprised me.
All in all: in the words of Mandy Rice-Jones: "They would say that, wouldn't they".
