Stocks are priced on future revenue expectations . Golds inability to break 1300 and stay there ( 3 attempts ) recently suggests ST weakness . The over arching fear is that gold tests support 1200 approx and fails which opens up 1000 as a target . Slr is a highish cost producer that will really struggle at gold of 1000 -1100 and this is what market fears . At these levels it will bleed cash quickly and value can be decimated . I am not suggesting what gold would do but simply saying one should only buy if they believe gold is heading up .

I too am a believer in money supply expansion equals higher gold price but for high cost producers timing is critical
