I have not read the report from Smart Investor however your comments in reply to Sathyath sent me looking at research easily available to most investors.
NAB and Comsec websites have coverage which both give a HOLD or lower recommendation at current levels. In fact Morningstar has a fair value of $1.60.
SP performance charts for oil and gas stocks show seasonal fluctuations which normally trend down around the end of our FY, coinciding with the northern summer. Geo political issues also play a significant part.
I am targeting around $1.40 - $1.50 range to top up my holding.
