Just a hunch to be honest. I think Mr Kidd could have been exposed to other incubator groups and this one popped out at him.
I haven't seen any interviews or press statements where he's shown true passion or claimed ownership of the app. There's been no... "We are so happy, after a long process we are finally close to lunching the app which was born out of my frustration of the real estate industry etc.."
Just a hunch. Guess it doesn't really matter how Applabs landed with Home Open, as long as it makes money!
