Did not our new drilling manager used to work for BUL, and didn't they have their own rig?.. I used to be holder of BUL but memory is poor and can't be bothered checking. As diggin, says, i can't see the difference of owning vs long term lease or contract and only comes down to the cost. I am sure Maquarie would probably finance it is we had a very clear plan. Ultimately, access to the right type of rig would be important. would need to be able to do horizontal/sinusoidal drilling and be capable of reaching a depth of about 3200m.
Ultimately i doubt this will happen as RC's medium term priority is not to drill but to set up the right conditions for a T/O at (hopefully) dramatically higher SP than present. This means more JV's or similar.
