Onyx, Entire coal industry is in worse shape. If BHP\xstrata\glencore big giants are struggling, think about New Hope- medium size and think about small companies like WHC with high debt & WLC etc.
Its majority owned by Soul Pattinson. They have major shareholders in WCL & Dart which are in takeover, so New hope will get some more cash, if they are taken-over by predators. Also, they have got huge cash around $1.3 billion dollars.
You can sleep comfortably in the night, they will keep paying dividends, cut costs and increase production levels to make sure they dont collapse till coal price increases. If you have spare money, wait for the right price to average down, imo its not investment advice.
This will be trading in the range for sure from 2.80-3.10. Will top up around 2.50 but i doubt will see that price.
