Guess we've all been wondering about the promised December start-up of the PT PAR coking coal project, specially when all the infrastructure, including camp, mining equipment, haul road and processing crush facilities, was apparently already all in place.

Well, here's the explanation:

"...Production commenced during December 2013 with delays through the later part of December and January due to the wet season and Contractor equipment delays."

Interestingly, the Company has evidently used the intervening months to "...acquire and take over the mining contractor, mining equipment and workforce and undertake all mining direct."

Which sounds promising. An all-in-one operation.

Note too this: "..As part of the take over, the company through its Indonesian operating entity PT UMES has commenced remobilisation onsite...", as well as "...completed preliminary agreements for the adjoining coal concession, which will provide continued production on completion of mining from PAR."

So maybe we're on track at last ...and starting from an even better position than before.
