Its been only 6 months (this Sunday) since the HoT with BBI. Really only just over 12 months since we were asked to consult on a failed POC1.

How impatient can people be? Have a think about project dynamics for a groundbreaking medical project, we arnt producing a new deep fryer here, and understand where POC1 was a year ago after 5 years, a mess. Where they should have been deciding the colour and whether the company logo was raised or stenciled they were still trying to get it to work. They then had to outsource a section of the process to another third party ADO and wait. I wouldnt have been surprised if there were staff changes during this period, it can take over 3 months in a big company to put technical new staff on and they had to add evaluations into the project stages to validate the inputs of the ADO consultants. A 5+ year project had to be extended so they probably had further internal funding requests etc. All of this affects the critical path to a new product. Yet at every sensible project gate the news has been positive since ADO became involved. Staff take-on for productisation and further cartridge development has been happening and we've heard about the commercial terms discussions.

And you guys are giving it 3-6 months?

BBI, its been just on 6 months since the HoT. All the news has been positive as to progress. It can easily take well over 6 months just to negotiate a contract, particularly when complex up fronts, exclusives and royalties may be concerned. Look at how long it probably took just to get to the HoT. At the same time, BBI has been restructuring, in a way that potentially lends itself to making ADO an even more valuable adjunct to their business if it proceeds. It may be that delays in contracts may be a result of trying to put a fence on what is actually in and what is out going forward or we've moved from a bounded product scope to an even broader agreement.

BBI and Alere are the masters of high speed production, incorporating any new technology into a broad range of tests has to be achievable at scale. That takes time, and all the feedback so far has been solid.

And you guys are giving it 3-6 months?

ADO are putting cost competitive product onto the market now, with the potential for excellent take up due to competitive advantage.

And then there is bioseparation, Already attracting external attention and potentially groundbreaking again.

And you guys are giving it 3-6 months?

Perhaps a little more patience is required, things in biotech always stretch investor sell button tendons to snapping point.
