Purchase Orders
The Company is pleased to advise that, to date, it has received equipment purchase orders to
the value of US$3.7 million against the contract which is for a minimum of US$66 million of
Cape Range Wireless Arcadian equipment. The contract is to supply PeoplesTel through its
distributor, Hayes (Bangladesh) Ltd. Cash flow from these purchase orders will commence next
month, March 2005.
PeoplesTel issues purchase orders against the contract, as the precise configuration of each site
is defined, and the installation dates set.
The size of the Bangladesh order, together with the aggressive deployment schedule that has
been worked out with PeoplesTel, will enable the Company to achieve profitability and positive
cash flow earlier than envisaged several months ago and has provided the Company with a useful
model for future deployments elsewhere in the developing world.
In addition to the US$66 million contract, the Company is also now able to advise that it has
signed an MOU with PeoplesTel to form a joint venture to roll-out modern telephone
communication services to 2 million subscribers in Bangladesh. This MOU will include the
previously announced second stage roll-out worth approximately US$320 million. Hayes
(Bangladesh) Ltd will continue as distributor for the Company’s equipment in Bangladesh. The
configuration of the network, that has been jointly developed by PeoplesTel and Cape Range
Wireless, takes advantage of the unique features of Cape Range Wireless Arcadian equipment.
The Company remains satisfied on progress being made on all previously advised projects as
well as several high potential new initiatives. Shareholders will be advised as these endeavours
are contractually completed.
