Thank goodness we at last have a clear view of the origin of your bias: namely that your have an insiders view of the machinations used by the big end of town to manufacture an advantage but still avoid going to jail. And this claimed inside knowledge that you boast about justifies, in your eyes, the sanctimonious stance you take toward anyone who deduces from their own research and from publicly available facts that there are questionable practices being used to undermine the sp of Mesoblast.

Now I just listened to Greg Medcalfe give a long monologue stating that ASIC currently has insufficient funds to properly monitor suspect questionable practices in the finance, banking and broking end of town. Think about that for a minute. How does that fit with your squeaky clean theory? I have never been witness to any qualified/qualified/qualified/market manipulation? Does that leave room for some other manipulation that you HAVE witnessed?

Now I don't want to hit on you especially, I am a similar age, done my time for the man and retired, and I respect anyone who has knuckled down to an obviously long journeyman career. But your own statements point directly to the kind of corrupt or questionable practices that ASIC knows well about, even if you don't. I could take a walk up Castlereagh St any day and find a hundred finance people at the bus stops who would eagerly attest that their trade floor/company/institution is squeaky clean; it means nothing - go back to ASIC adam, don't pass GO, don't collect $200.
Also look please at Dolcevita's footnote: "It is difficult to get a person to understand something when their salary depends on not understanding it." We all get it!

"And this is just one very basic strategy that is used to sell without anyone knowing. Believe me, there are many more".......without anyone knowing! hidden from scrutiny!!!

The whole question of manipulation viz Mesoblast revolves around the central issue of short selling - a strategy invented by financial engineers for better or worse, but in no time corrupted to accommodate ruthless manipulation and exploit less sophisticated shareholders. The proponents of this cancer can recite volumes of sophistry to tell us it is all for the good, you know, benefits for everyone, improves the market better. Pure Bullshit.

Man in building A has a job running a short book on MSB with performance bonuses - after 3 years it's paying magnificently - and he's a good operator. Man in building B (not related) accumulates MSB stock for the back office using algo programs, HFT, the works - essentially working the price up and down - he's a good operator too, and they service big biotech funds in the US and elsewhere. The boss says "I want you guys to come and have drinks with the guys from Building A, we might learn something"! Pretty soon they are signalling to each other from their windows: Thumbs up - release the brakes, going up; thumbs down - brakes on we are crashing! :)

Just a joke adam (can you take a joke?) but you get the picture.

I wasn't going to mention shorting too much until I checked today's figures; Voila - there is a huge change!!
After many boring months of sitting at around 6% - 7% short, these are the latest numbers out and I need to whisper (we aren't allowed to have up to date figures - you know...ssshhhhh, market secrecy, very important that things are hidden as long as possible)

    29 May 4.39% short.
28 May 3.55% short!!!!!! big movement
    22 May 7.02% short
    1 May 6.06% short

Someone covering all of a sudden...new post needed?
