Yes it is an interesting thing that the sea goes up and down, the ice comes and goes, the oxygen level in the atmospere changes, the hole in the ozone layer gets bigger and smaller, etc. The point is mother nature has visted maybe five macro extinctions ( the death of 60% of all living creatures) in the past and will no doubt do it again at her own free will. So the very enjoyable thought of stopping all the cows in the world from producing methane by the appropriate use of one greenies head per cow is sadly only a pipe dream.
