News reports including those already listed on this thread indicate that Tony Abbott is attempting to embed himself in an ultra right wing block of nations to marginalise President Obama, especially on climate change:

Since becoming PM Abbott has broken almost every promise he so brazenly made to Australians, no overseas leader could ever trust someone like that - his stewardship of the G20 will NOT be based on trust and at best will be a photo opportunity with "NO" outcomes achieving nothing to alter global tax avoidance!

In the lead up to the G20 meeting attention is already turning to Hilary Clinton's account of Australia's 'outrageous sexual discrimination' against Julia Gillard. Due to his revolting performance as PM, Abbott is already a global leper and the re-hash of matters such as his persecution of Gillard will cast a shadow over Brisbane :
