I am not sure it is professional of him to ascribe a value judgment on the other parties "astonishment" as he interpreted it - after all this is his interpretation. Also, would the other parties want it leaked to the world that they were (allegedly) "astonished". If there were in fact NOT astounded will they go back to Geoff and tell him to um ... I don't know ... button up or keep his interpretations to himself.

Additionally, if he is describing the results as "extremely good" could that be considered material news the market should be informed of?

On another issue did you obtain Geoff's permission to share with the world what I assume Geoff considered to be a private conversation?

I notice some others have been doing this with Geoff's emails. Be really careful if you are going to do this in the future and consider obtaining the other parties explicit written permission. From my initial review the penalties are really severe. See below:

The content and substance of an individual’s telephone conversations and other electronic communications, such as emails, are often private and sensitive. Further, information about when, how and with whom individuals communicate is also sensitive.

Generally it is only intelligence and law enforcement agencies, telecommunications service providers, regulators, oversight bodies, who are able to access and handle private telecommunications.
